Sam Segran is the CIO and Vice President for IT at Texas Tech University. He has been active in the field for over 30 years and holds numerous certifications including, Cybersecurity, and Legal and Data Security. He serves on the AT&T College & University Advisory Council, Dell’s Higher Education Advisory Council, and as a Director on the Board for the Texas Lonestar Education and Research Network (LEARN). In 2012, he was recognized as the public sector Texas CIO of the Year by the Texas CIO Academy and Government Technology.
